About the UPS University<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Salesian Polytechnic University of Ecuador was founded as a humanistic and polytechnic higher education institution inspired by the Christian tradition and the Salesian charism of Saint John Bosco. Its fundamental purpose is the integral formation of individuals, especially young people from popular and marginalized sectors.<\/p>

The university's mission is to educate honest citizens and good Christians, combining academic excellence with human, spiritual, and social development. In this manner, the university promotes an education that integrates research, innovation, and social commitment, contributing to the country\u2019s sustainable development and the well-being of communities. Regarding its institutional vision, it presents itself as a leading university, dedicated to the pursuit of truth, the development of culture, and scientific and technological research, with the capacity to respond to contemporary challenges.<\/p>

The university also adheres to the following institutional values:<\/p>

*Transcendence: This value implies respect for the human person, their dignity, rights, and transcendent values, as well as dialogue between different academic disciplines, faith, and religious practice.<\/p>

*Familiarity: A value born out of a Salesian style of interaction among members of the university community, based on respect, affection, trust, generosity, and simplicity, to encourage and support the university community in its educational process.<\/p>

* Co-responsibility: A principle that recognizes each member of the university community as a committed participant in the institutional educational project.<\/p>

* Solidarity: A quality that places the common good above individual interests, promoting harmony among individuals, social groups, and nature.<\/p>
